Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a mild sedation option. Once inhaled, nitrous oxide has a calming effect on patients. When used properly it is safe and allows your child to enter deep relaxation. Many parents prefer nitrous oxide over other forms of sedations because the effects are not as long-lasting. Once your son or daughter stops inhaling the gas, the effects leave their body after a few deep breaths of natural air.

Outside of it’s calming properties, nitrous oxide sedation can also help with pain.
